Federal jury pay estimator

Four boxes. Attendance, travel, overnight, then wages you already expect. The math runs here. It is not the clerk’s voucher, not tax advice, and not a promise the court will pay the total. Fee source: 28 U.S.C. § 1871.

1. Attendance

Only days you actually sit or report as the court counts attendance.

Petit: extra $10 may apply after 10 days on one case. Grand: after 45 days. Only if the judge orders it.

2. Travel

Shortest practical route. The court, not this page, decides countable miles.

3. Overnight

Leave at zero unless the court required a stay away from home.

4. Employer wages (optional)

Not required. Use this only to see court pay next to wages you already expect. Federal law does not require a private employer to keep paying wages.

Parking is often receipt-only and discretionary. Federal employees generally receive salary instead of the $50 fee. Harborline does not store these numbers.
